01. Should have 3 (S) pass grades in G.C.E. A'L in any Stream.

Duration : 06 months.

Delivery Medium : English or Sinhala.


Teaching Method :Β  You will usually have about 09 to 12 hours of lectures (recordings will provide) and classes each week, but you will also have to work hard on your own – reading, writing essays or working on class assignments. Hours vary according to courses and you can view indicative details in the Calendar within the Teaching section of each course guide. We have a small intake so the teaching will be personal, friendly and individual preferences and interests can be taken into account.Β Β 


CAPSOISL is internationally recognised for its teaching and research and therefore employs a rich variety of teaching staff with a range of experience and status. Courses may be taught by individual members of faculty, such as lecturers, senior lecturers, readers, associate professors and professors. Many departments now also employ guest teachers and visiting members of staff, CAPSOISL teaching fellows and graduate teaching assistants who are usually doctoral research students and in the majority of cases, teach on undergraduate courses only. Assessment : All taught courses are required to include formative coursework, which is unassessed. It is designed to help prepare you for your summative assessments, which count towards the course mark, and to the degree award. CAPSOISL uses a range of formative and summative assessments, such as essays, problem sets, case studies, reports, quizzes, exams, online assessments and many others. Summative assessment may be conducted during the course or by final examination at the end of the course.
